Fencing & Boundaries
Fencing and boundaries are what we're known for, and it's in the name. We install feather-edge and close-board fencing, modern slatted screens and horizontal fencing, matching gates, trellis tops, concrete posts and gravel boards — set plumb, lined up true and dug in properly so they stand for years. "Brilliant fencing job finished from Andy and his team," one client wrote — "offered some good options ahead of the job and then completed the job professionally and in good time, no messing about." From 3ft panels along a driveway to a full boundary around the garden, we set it out right.

Patios & Paving
A patio is only as good as the base beneath it, and after twenty years we lay them to last. We build new patios, paths and terraces in Indian sandstone, porcelain planks, reclaimed brick and riven slate, with circular paved features, brick borders, steps and level changes worked in. Whether it's a crisp grey-porcelain terrace running out from a veranda or a traditional sandstone patio with a circular centre, everything is laid on the right foundation, jointed cleanly and finished properly.

Turfing & New Lawns
We install new lawns from the ground up — clearing and levelling the site, preparing and grading the soil, then laying quality turf so it knits and establishes cleanly. It's work we do for private gardens and for commercial grounds and communal spaces, shaping lawns to fit patios, borders and paths. We reclaim tired, uneven lawns as well as laying fresh ones, and hand the garden back striped and ready to use.

Decking & Timber Work
Timber is our trade, and decking is where it shows. We design and build raised and multi-level decks, timber steps and balustrades, and screening to match — all in pressure-treated timber, framed square and solid so there's no bounce or movement. Decking is one of the best ways to make sense of a sloping or split-level garden, giving you flat, usable space where the ground falls away, tied in neatly to patios, lawns and boundaries.

Raised Beds & Brickwork
Alongside the boundaries and paving, we build the structural elements that hold a garden together: sleeper and timber raised beds, retaining walls that hold back changes in level, brick and stone boundary walls, and built-in planters. Set out with a gravel path and planting between them, raised beds turn a flat plot into a proper kitchen or ornamental garden — and a well-built retaining wall or boundary wall is what keeps the whole scheme standing straight for years.

For gardens that need more than one job, we plan and carry out the whole transformation. Do you charge for a quote?
No. Every job starts with a free, no-obligation quotation. Andy comes out, walks the garden with you, sets out the options and puts a clear, competitive price to it — whether it's a single run of fencing or a full garden transformation. There's no pressure to go ahead.
Who will actually be doing the work?
Garden Boundaries is a small, owner-led company. Andy Wood leads every job personally and works alongside his team — clients regularly name Andy, and colleagues like Darren, in their reviews. You're dealing with the person doing the work, with over twenty years in the trade, not a call centre or a franchise.
Do you only do fencing, or other landscaping too?
Fencing and boundaries are what we're best known for, but they're one part of what we do. We also build patios and paving, decking, retaining and boundary walls, raised beds, and lay new turf — right up to full garden transformations that pull the whole lot into one scheme, for commercial and high-end domestic clients alike.
Do you take on smaller jobs as well as big transformations?
Yes. We take the smaller jobs just as seriously as the big ones — a replacement fence panel, a new gate, a patio or a run of turf. Plenty of our clients started with one job and kept us on: one wrote that we'd done "excellent work over the last 10 years," and that neighbours were impressed enough to use us too.

How competitive are your prices?
